A Time for Giving

Ever since it opened nearly 21 years ago, Cliff Castle Casino has done what it can to help Verde Valley residents and organizations. The Casino has donated goods and services for many of the area’s worthy causes. On Thursday, February 4, we made $4,000 donations to three local non-profit organizations: Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Verde Valley Caregivers and Citizens Committee for the Camp Verde Library. Marketing Director Rojelio Rubio, Finance Director Timothy Hawk and Director of Gaming Red Wootan were on hand for the presentation of the checks. A representative from Big Brothers/Big Sisters was unable to attend.

From Verde Valley Caregivers Coalition Board President George Ault: “We thank Cliff Castle Casino for honoring us with this gift. Their support will benefit older adults who live alone and need our help.”

Linda Harkness, President of Citizens’ Committee for the Camp Verde Library: “Cliff Castle Casino has added immensely to the Camp Verde Community. They provide entertainment, employment, and attract tourism. But they have also been actively benefiting the community. Citizen’s Committee for Camp Verde Library has been grateful for their support in the past for several of our fundraising events. This recent donation is most welcome for our wonderful new library. We thank not only Cliff Castle Casino, but the people who make it up for the support they have given us continuously since our formation.”

And from Yavapai Big Brothers/Big Sisters CEO Christine Clouse: “We are tremendously grateful to Cliff Castle Casino for their above and beyond generosity of a $4,000 gift to create life changing friendships for children in the Sedona-Verde Valley region who face such tremendous adversity! The Casino has been a long-term community partner in supporting mentoring relationships for Bigs with Littles. Due to their generosity and the generosity of our wonderful Sedona-Verde Valley community we were able to serve over 100 children and impact over 400 family members as well as the children’s mentors. Mentoring is not only life changing for children but for the mentors who see the impact of their involvement.”

We here at Cliff Castle Casino are happy to do what we can to help organizations such as these continue their great work.
