Going Medieval at the Castle – Halloween 2018 Follow-Up
Going Medieval at the Castle – Halloween 2018 Follow-Up

Our Halloween Party was a big hit as usual. This year we went with a Renaissance theme, and our guests ran with it as well. The spectacular costumes we see every year were on display, from a Transformer who changed herself into a truck, to Mickey the Sorcerer and his magic broom. From the opening of the free party at 9p to the end, the band Furious George kept the music going in the Dragonfly with a diverse set of oldies and dance music. The crowd was on their feet pretty much the whole time.

The wonderful parade of costumes was featured live on Facebook and, though there weren’t as many people marching in it, the parade was just as festive as ever.

After the parade, we awarded the Costume Contest prizes. We had three prizes in three categories: Best Group (2 or more), Best Renaissance-themed and Best Costume.

Vikings, fairy princesses and clowns alike were on hand for the Halloween Party in the Dragonfly.

Best group entries.

Best Renaissance-themed.

Best Costume. The “Dark Queen of Hearts,” center, was the 1st place winner.
